Communities are similar to living organisms. They are intricate structures where every member is of vital importance to the body of people. Individual members contribute with their knowledge, wisdom or skills to make the group thrive.
Sometimes communities experience serious or even traumatic situations that affect the organism as a whole and which disturb the group in its healthy functioning. Think of mass unemployment, disease, discrimination, violence, intimidation or neglect. This leaves the group vulnerable, unstable and often isolated.
It takes times to heal from these experiences and it can take years for the group and the individuals to heal. Before the healing can even start, the community has to recognise, define and accept the disruptions in the structure as a whole.
Henri van Amerongen is an internationally recognised coach- counsellor who specialises in the dynamics between people, whether as a family, in business or in social structures, in communities, native bands or other groups that are strongly connected.
His successful approach includes the visualising of the ties that connect people or the differences and challenges that separate them. He shows the influence this has on individual people and the way relationships and connections within the community are disrupted because of traumatic experiences to the group.
He is able to help healing these connections and restore them into healthy relationships. Henri can contribute to make the community system work again and to being able to connect confidently with other groups.
Henri is a respectful listener. He observes and mirrors what he sees, so that people and communities can take little steps forward to get inspiration, courage, and confidence to heal and flourish. His approach opens new opportunities and is known for ‘breaking ground’ in building new connections and relationships.
