Systemic Coach/Counselling course
A Dare2bU Systemic Coach/Counsellor® is deeply interested in personal emotional issues of clients. It’s someone who investigates what’s wrong now and tries to find the cause of the problem to give clients insight on how to handle it.
The Dare2bU Academy® Inc. offers a next-generation approach to Success Coaching, Life Coaching, Business Coaching and Counselling in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island British Columbia, United States, Canada, The Netherlands but are also available by Skype all over the world. Our courses, workshops and individual sessions are affordable and approachable. They’re ideal for anyone who wants to grow personally or professionally.
The 1 year course includes:
• 60 hours of practical lessons lead by a Dare2bU-certified trainer in a group (10 days - 1 per month)

COURSE OUTLINE AND REQUIREMENTS:
Course Outline:
Each day includes practical exercises in small groups, demonstrations, fun and humour. Read testimonials from former students.
Day 1 - Basic coach/counselling skills
Paraphrasing, summarizing, reflecting, feedback, etc.
Day 2 - Basic coach/counselling skills
Feedback, recognizing emotions, etc.
Day 3 - Gerard Egan’s three-stages method
How to build a counselling session in three phases
Day 4 - The PEM asking method
Practicing the PEM (Physical, Emotional, Mental) asking method to go directly to “the question behind the question”
Day 5 - Using drawings
Draw your present and future. Making drawings on a deep emotional level using the PEM method
Day 6 - Systemic-phenomenological approach and family history
Using personal history and the power of family constellations during sessions
Day 7 - Client day # 1
Practice coach/counselling ‘real’ clients in small groups
Day 8 - Using ‘tools’ + manikins during sessions
Working with ‘tools’ (stones, paper, carpets, etc.) to get your client in motion.
Day 9 - Client day #2
Practice coach/counselling ‘real’ clients in small groups
Day 10 - ‘Intervision’: Working in peer groups + group coaching
Exercises in peer group counselling and groupcoaching
Requirements for certification:
The total study load, excluding reading books, for this one-year course is approximately 160 hours. That’s an average of three to four hours per week.
You don’t have to finish all requirements within the course year, but you do have to attend 90% of the practical experience days. You may work at your own speed to complete the following requirements:
• 60 hours of practical training (10 days)
• 3 hours of counselling by a certified Coach/Counsellor
• Writing and analyzing your own and another student’s personal (family) history
• 12 hours of counselling with ‘clients’
• 3 hours of supervision by a certified Coach/Counsellor
• Reading the books on the course booklist
• Reading the Dare2bU syllabus’ counselling techniques
• Writing a personal growth and development paper on what you’ve learned
• 10 hours of participation in a study group
