Henri van Amerongen (President and founder of the Dare2bU Academy) is a Success Coach and facilitator for (organization) constellations.
In his seminar he will explain and demonstrate the role of (hidden) systemic dynamics in the functioning of organizations –from the smallest unit of an organization, the family to large business organizations. Henri works with clients using the widely embraced European technique called organization constellations. The organization constellations methodology involves assigning the stakeholders of organizations representatives and then watching how the various representatives interact.
Although the representatives are unaware of the role they are assuming, the systemic dynamics, since always present on a subconscious level, are made visible through the behavior and interactions of the representatives. Though it is somewhat mysterious as to how this happens, the results are definitely not mysterious. There has been much documented evidence about the accuracy and immediacy of the hidden dynamics that become clear through constellation work, but the best evidence is to experience it for yourself.
Examples of marketing or business questions to ask:
- What should be my target group of customers?
- What is the best way to advertise my business?
- How can I improve my product to attract more customers?
- What price should I charge for my product or service?
- Why isn’t my company running smoothly?

Systemic Constellation work (as developed by Bert Hellinger) has been very popular in Europe for over 30 years. In Canada and North America, the interest in this powerful and highly effective approach is growing. Although family constellations are the most well known, it is also possible to use constellations for other issues, such as money, animals, immigration, relationships, organizations, etc.
During this interactive 1 day workshop, different kinds of constellations will be demonstrated. Participants will also work in small groups under supervision to set up small (blind) constellations, allowing everyone to gain insight into their own question or issue. Examples follow:
Organizational Constellations: Explore how dynamics work in organizations, marketing and product branding. Organizational Constellations can give answers to organizational questions in minutes and are perfect for small businesses and those seeking direction in their organizations. A constellation can provide new insight at a lower cost than expensive advisors or research!
Family constellations: Understand the dynamics in your family system and learn how to change these dynamics for the better. A constellation gives insight for everyone who has a family!
Animal constellations: Get more insight into the behaviour of your animal and how you respond to your pet. Animal constellations are both serious and funny! Did you ever act like a cat or dog or try to understand what they feel and experience? If you want to know what your pet really thinks about you, this is your chance!
Money constellations: Explore dynamics around money and what may be keeping you from earning more. Some people attract a lot of money and others don’t. What’s behind this dynamic? What stops you from being successful financially?
Immigration constellations: Canada is a country of immigrants. Many of them are doing well; for others, it can be difficult to make a connection with their new homeland. A constellation can show you the hidden dynamics that keep you from fully integrating into your new home.
Relationship constellations: What hidden dynamics keep you from finding the love of your life? Many people find it difficult to meet a life partner. A constellation can give you more insight if you want a new partner, a better relationship or to learn more about your own relationship with others.

Background:
Family and Organizational Constellations
A family or organization can be viewed as a system, where the different parts have to work together in order to function properly. Like in a car, one part can cause the whole system to malfunction. The part (a person) that is having problems can be a symptom of a malfunctioning system, not causing, but instead signalling the problem. The idea of a family or organization being a system has been used on a limited basis in counselling, but with great success and with amazing, virtually instant results. Results are not only achieved in a short time span, but also with a profound and lasting effect. Constellations can be used for all sorts of issues: families, organizations, marketing, money, love, animals, work, etc. The list is endless.
One of the participants with a short question regarding a system (e.g. family, work, etc.) and wanting an insight or an answer by doing a constellation with a trained and skilful facilitator. The facilitator will ask a few questions and then ask the person to choose representatives for particular family members or certain parts of a system. The person then places these representatives in the space available. The facilitator takes it from here. In individual sessions, objects might replace real people. By being placed and by moving around in a certain way, usually the hidden dynamics or patterns of the system become evident. The person with the question is likely to get an insight into his family system or the answer to his or her question.
The purpose of constellations is to get more insight and a deeper understanding of the subconscious dynamics of the system, for example, what is playing an important role in the background. The uniqueness of this systemic-phenomenological approach is that once the family or organization is represented, the problem or issue usually becomes instantly clear to the person with the question. He or she can then start to work on and/or come to terms with what has been gained during the constellation. Usually a huge sense of relief and freedom is felt by the person who had the question.
